A Manhattan federal judge has ordered that the grand‑jury records tied to former Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell be released, though he cautioned that the documents would not reveal any startling new revelations. The decision follows a law signed by President Trump last month that obliges prosecutors to make all Epstein‑related materials public, and Judge Paul Engelmayer confirmed that the search warrants and testimony must be disclosed.
While the new papers include the full transcript of Maxwell’s own testimony and related warrants, the judge stressed that they’re unlikely to provide fresh insights for the public still grappling with the fallout from her 2021 conviction on multiple sex‑trafficking charges.
The Maxwell documents are only a small portion of the vast cache of evidence gathered by the Justice Department and FBI during their probes of Epstein. A separate Florida judge has likewise ordered the release of grand‑jury transcripts from the state’s investigations into the pair.
Maxwell, now 63, is serving a 20‑year federal sentence for the crimes that brought her to prison. In the summer of 2024, the Trump administration moved her to a low‑security facility in Texas, citing no public rationale for the transfer.
