Kamala Harris recently took a sharp dig at her former boss, former President Joe Biden, on Jimmy Kimmel Live. She accused his administration of not doing enough to back her ill‑fated 2024 presidential bid.
When Kimmel asked if Biden and “his people” had pulled out all the stops to help her campaign, Harris gave a candid answer. “Certainly I think we needed more time. And from certain places in the administration, we needed more support,” she said.
In the roughly 20‑minute appearance, the Vice‑President also touched on a variety of topics—from her critique of the Trump administration and the Epstein files to a preview of her latest book, “107 Days.” This expanded her publicity push, which many are reading as a hint that she could be looking toward a third run.
After defending Biden during her short‑lived bid, Harris is now blasting the Democratic establishment she once championed. When pressed about why the administration didn’t release the Epstein documents, she replied with a tongue‑in‑cheek, “To give you an answer that will not satisfy your curiosity, we — perhaps to our damage — but we strongly, and rightly, believed that there should be an absolute separation between what we wanted as an administration and what the Department of Justice did.”
“We absolutely adhered to that and it was right to do that.”
When asked about the perceived chaos of Trump’s second term, Harris rammed on: “So let’s go through it and I, again, I even map out, first of all, I know that it has felt chaotic. But what we are in fact witnessing is something that is a high‑velocity event.”
“It is moving quickly, which is the swift implantation of a plan that has been, in a large part, decades in the making,” she added. “The Federalist Society, all of the work that has happened, Heritage Foundation, all the work that has happened over years that it about deconstructing government’s ability to have checks and balances on abuse of power.”
Early polling shows Harris near the front of the pack among potential 2028 hopefuls, indicating that her hard‑talking, outspoken style is resonating with voters.
