Lefty podcaster Jennifer Welch bashes ‘racist’ Charlie Kirk and ‘grifter’ Erika in unhinged meltdown

Jennifer Welch, a left‑wing podcaster who once starred on Bravo, took a sweeping jab at late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, calling him a “racist” in a heated outburst. She also slammed his wife, Erika Kirk—who now leads TPUSA after her husband’s death—as an “opportunistic grifter” who exploits her gender for personal gain.

The former TV personality launched into the criticism after Erika, a mother of two, appeared on stage at the New York Times’ Dealbook Conference on Dec. 3. There, she spoke about the challenges faced by career‑driven women who are also voters, including those who backed Mayor‑elect Zohran Mamdani.

This woman should be kicked to the curb,” Welch said in a tirade that aired on her “I’ve Had It” podcast over Sunday. She added, “She is an absolute grifter — just like Donald Trump and just like her unrepentant, racist, homophobic husband was.

During the tirade, Welch accused Erika of trying to lecture educated New Yorkers from the comfort of Manhattan. “You are an opportunistic grifter who weaponizes your gender to demean women,” she snapped, continuing that Erika was “a walking, talking, breathing example as to why nobody, number one, wants to be a Christian, and number two, wants to be a female hypocrite such as yourself.” Welch urged the woman to return to the “Turning Point bubble” and warned that Erika’s stance and the organization’s rhetoric “make women less safe.”

Co‑host Angie Sullivan joined in, suggesting, “maybe there’s more to life than identifying yourself as someone’s wife or someone’s mother,” and encouraging listeners to look beyond their titles.

Erika’s remarks at the conference had focused on a perceived shift among career‑heavy women in a city like New York. She observed that these women might “see things a little bit differently” and look “almost to the government as a form of replacement for certain things, relationship‑wise.” She went on to express concern that young female New Yorkers might use public assistance as a reason to delay starting a family or marriage, preferring governmental support over a partnership that could provide mutual sustenance.

When asked about the recent election of Zohran Mamdani, she noted the irony that “a heavy percentage of the individuals who voted for him were female,” adding that many of those voters should consider the implications of their choices.

The New York Post reached out to Turning Point for comment, but a response has yet to come.
