‘Liver King’ has charges dropped — and goes straight back to ranting about fighting Joe Rogan
The disgraced influencer Brian “Liver King” Johnson had the charges against him—for allegedly threatening Joe Rogan in a way that could be seen as a terroristic threat—officially dropped, and he’s already back on the internet grumbling that he wants to fight the famed podcaster.
In June, Johnson hit the road to Austin, Texas, where Rogan’s hometown is, and started posting videos that alarmed viewers. He talked about wanting to box Rogan while holding what looked like two guns, and the clip made headlines. Because of the videos, a misdemeanor charge of “terrorist threat” was filed against him, adding to his already‑troubled public image.
He’s been known to lie about the source of his bulk—claiming a diet of raw organs and testicles rather than steroids—and that myth was part of the drama that landed him in trouble. After a stint on a $20,000 bond and an ankle monitor, the case was quietly dismissed on November 12, according to court records, after he completed several counseling sessions.
Just a few weeks later, Johnson is back on social media, calling out Rogan and demanding a fight. “They weren’t threats. A challenge. A fight. Come on, drama king,” he rants, calling Rogan a martial‑arts expert and UFC commentator and insisting that the podcast host can’t keep avoiding the confrontation. He repeats the same language he used in the June videos, saying, “Joe Rogan, I’m calling you out, my name’s Liver King. Man to man, I’m picking a fight with you.” He adds that he has no jiu‑jitsu training and that Rogan, as a black‑belt, could easily disarm him, but he still wants the match.
Why he even targeted Rogan isn’t clear. Johnson has never appeared as a regular guest on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” but has been mentioned a few times on the show in discussions about performance‑enhancing drugs. Back in 2022, he had to admit to taking steroids, but before that he insisted that his monstrous shape was all thanks to a diet of raw meats, animal testicles, liver, and fertilized chicken eggs.
