Melania Trump announced on Friday that she’s launched a new production venture called Muse Films. In a tweet she teased, “PRESENTING: MUSE FILMS My new production company. MELANIA, the film, exclusively in theaters worldwide on January 30th, 2026,” and directed followers to Amazon’s upcoming documentary about the former first lady.
Amazon has already paid $40 million for the rights to the biopic. At this point it’s unclear whether Muse Films will sell the same movie to other distributors or keep it exclusive.
The White House’s spokesperson hasn’t yet responded to a request for more details, and Melania—who has kept a low media profile for 55 years—has rarely granted interviews, adding to the intrigue surrounding the Slovenian‑born ex‑model.
Many observers view Amazon’s contract as a strategic move by the tech giant to smooth relations with the newly in‑office President Trump, who had long been at odds with Big Tech during his four‑year hiatus from politics, even after Jeff Bezos—owner of the Washington Post—had clashed with him.
