A 29‑year‑old woman from Georgia named Raven Louise Broniecki has been arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, cruelty to children and criminal negligence. The charges come after her 2‑year‑old son, Keith Richard, was fatally shot on November 22 and the police concluded the death was not accidental.
Five days before the arrest, Broniecki set up a GoFundMe page to cover funeral costs and other expenses. In the post she wrote, “My sweet baby boy, my best friend, my whole world has recently passed away,” and later added that she and her remaining children were “stressed and heart broken” and needed help to get back on their feet.
According to reports, the incident was first described by the Hinesville Police Department as a tragic accident on the family’s home. However, authorities later decided to file criminal charges after a thorough investigation.
Broniecki was released on a $22,300 bond following her arraignment last week. It is not yet known whether any money was raised on the GoFundMe after the court hearing.
