R&B star Trey Songz, whose legal name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, got into hot‑water in a Manhattan nightclub on the night of December 6.
While he and his crew were still on the floor at Dramma Night Club in Times Square, a staffer told him the club was closing around 4 a.m. and Songz reportedly reacted dramatically, punching the employee in the face. He was later arraigned on third‑degree assault and second‑degree mischief charges.
The singer, who was wearing a black face mask when the incident was arrested, was granted supervised release. Prosecutors said that the victim, a regular at the venue, has since obtained a protective order against Neverson.
The 41‑year‑old declined to comment and headed out in a black SUV after hearing the judge’s words, “Have a good night, brother.”
Songz has a history of legal troubles, including a 2016 aggravated assault charge and allegations of rape and sexual assault. He is scheduled to return to court on February 18.
