NYC wannabe influencer under fire over death of woman’s beloved dog — whose rotting corpse she packed into suitcase

A social‑media personality who’s already in the spotlight for faking a food‑review partnership is now facing yet another storm, after the dog she was hired to look after died and she allegedly shipped its rotted body to its owner in a suitcase.

The husky, Jiacheng, had been in the care of Fahmida Sultana for ten days while the owner, Juny “Eleven” Li, was away. The Cornell‑approved autopsy reviewed by the Post said the dog was decomposing and showed muscle atrophy, though it couldn’t determine if he’d been ill for a while or if something sudden had happened. Sultana says Jiacheng passed away that morning.

Li keeps insisting she was told the dog was fine by Sultana, but after Sultana stopped replying to check‑in messages, Li began to worry. Three days in, the influencer sent blurry pics of a thinner, dirty dog, and Li asked a friend to stop by. Sultana denied the request and insisted Jiacheng was happy and energetic, prompting Li to send a grateful text thanking her for “taking such good care.”

The next morning, when Li was due to pick the dog up, Sultana called and said Jiacheng was dead. The saga intensified after a video of Sultana and her boyfriend hauling a plastic bag and a suitcase stuffed with Jiacheng’s body to a Chelsea vet went viral, sparking outrage from animal lovers who now demand the influencer be arrested.

Sultana’s konto is still inactive and the Rover app that originally matched the two has deactivated her account after an investigation. A civil suit is being considered by Li while no criminal charges have lapsed at either case.

The influencer, quoted with “I would never harm any animal,” apologized to the public, saying that “miscommunication and lack of urgency … led to an unfilled collaboration” with the restaurant and that she had no fault in Jiacheng’s death. She added that she had not removed the dog’s collar, despite Li’s claim that it was missing.

Li, meanwhile, is grieving the loss, describing Jiacheng as “the whole world” to her and expressing how he was with her all the time. After the vet’s office was flooded with a stench from the body and a nurse questioned how the dog had survived until the morning, Li finally visited the clinic and recorded a heartbreaking scene that circulated online.

Despite these hardships, Li and her boyfriend are still trying to serve Sultana with court papers. Dogs, lawyers, and a local Justice Department are now on the case, but for now neither politeness nor rage has spurred an arrest.
