Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the general secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), posted a warm message on X congratulating Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Palaniswami marked Modi’s 25th year in office, calling it a historic milestone that showcases the leader’s vision, commitment to democracy, and integrity in serving the nation.
On the same thread, AIADMK welcomed the Prime Minister’s “unparalleled milestone,” describing his 25‑year tenure as evidence of strong statesmanship and a dedication to democratic values.
BJP figures echoed the praise. Sudhanshu Trivedi highlighted Modi’s journey from Gujarat chief minister to India’s longest‑serving prime minister, noting how his development model has earned respect not only in India but around the world. Trivedi recalled that 24 years ago, Modi took office as Gujarat’s chief minister and has since transformed the state’s economy and infrastructure.
Modi is the second‑longest‑serving Indian prime minister, surpassing former PM Indira Gandhi’s record of about 11 years. By 2029, when the next general elections are scheduled, he will have led the country for over 15 years.
During his decade‑plus leadership, India has undergone dramatic change. Reports say more than 25 million people have moved out of poverty, and the country has emerged as a bright spot among major global economies. Modi has highlighted the empowerment of women, youth, and hardworking workers through pioneering reforms, describing the nation’s progress as a collective achievement.
