PKL 12: Nitin Kumar leads Jaipur Pink Panthers to comeback win over U Mumba in tie-breaker

Jaipur Pink Panthers pulled off an exciting comeback to beat U Mumba 6-4 in a tense tie-breaker during their Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 match. The game ended in a 38-38 draw after regular time, thrilling fans at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Tuesday.

Nitin Kumar shone for the home team with a Super 10, while Reza Mirbagheri added four key tackles and Vinay chipped in with six successful raids. U Mumba’s Sandeep Kumar fought hard with his own Super 10, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

The match kicked off with Jaipur Pink Panthers dominating early. They raced to a 6-0 lead in the first five minutes, thanks to Nitin Kumar’s four points from raids and tackles from Aryan Kumar and Reza Mirbagheri. U Mumba finally scored through Sathish Kannan’s bonus point, but Jaipur kept the pressure on.

Jaipur soon hit an All Out, jumping to a 9-1 advantage. Ali Samadi made big plays on both offense and defense, pushing the lead to double digits. U Mumba’s Lokesh Ghosliya and Parvesh Bhainswal sparked a fightback with tackles, narrowing the gap to 12-5 by the end of the first quarter.

Sandeep Kumar kept U Mumba in the hunt with steady raids, and their defense clicked into gear. A tackle from Lokesh Ghosliya led to an All Out on Jaipur, making it a close two-point game. Sandeep then nailed a Super Raid to give U Mumba a slim one-point edge.

Both teams traded points in a real nail-biter during the first half. Jaipur owned the opening stretch, but U Mumba flipped the script in the second quarter, outscoring them 8-0 to lead 17-16 at halftime.

The action stayed intense after the break. U Mumba cranked up the defense for another All Out, while Sandeep Kumar dazzled with a Super Raid to finish his Super 10. They followed with yet another All Out, stretching the lead to 33-24.

Sunil Kumar got on the board for U Mumba with a tackle on Ali Samadi, helping them control the pace. But with five minutes left and an eight-point gap, Jaipur’s Reza Mirbagheri and Nitin Kumar mounted a rally to stay alive.

The drama peaked in the final moments. Nitin Kumar hit his Super 10 with clutch raids, closing the score to one point. Then Deepanshu Khatri’s tackle tied it at 38-38, sending the game to its first tie-breaker in Jaipur.

Jaipur Pink Panthers stayed cool under pressure in the tie-breaker. Their raiders stepped up big, securing the 6-4 victory and giving fans a memorable Pro Kabaddi League thriller.
