
Bhopal/New Delhi, Dec 12 (LatestNewsX) – Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched the three‑day “Madhya Pradesh Utsav” from his home in Bhopal, joining the ceremony virtually at the “Madhya Pradesh Bhawan” in New Delhi on Friday.
Speaking remotely, Yadav noted that the event should spark visitors’ curiosity to explore the state’s scenic landscapes and rich biodiversity. He urged tourists to explore Ujjain’s Mahakal Lok, take safaris in the tiger reserves, wander through the historic towns of Orchha and Mandu, and admire the untouched beauty of Pachmarhi.
Yadav also highlighted that the state administration is working hand in hand with the Central government. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State is moving ahead with a firm resolve for progress,” he said.
After the opening, Rashmi Arun Shami, the Residential Commissioner of Madhya Pradesh Bhawan, explained that the festival’s main goal is to acquaint residents of the Delhi‑NCR area with Madhya Pradesh’s attractions. She pointed out that the exhibition features stalls showcasing handicrafts, One District‑One Product items, pottery, tourism promotion, and more.
The program includes cultural performances by local artists, including Bundeli folk dance and tribal folk dances from across the state. Participants can also enjoy drawing contests, quizzes, a fancy‑dress competition for children, and a screening of the feature film “Paan Singh Tomar”.
The festival will conclude with a dignified closing ceremony honouring participants. Attendance is free, allowing everyone to enjoy the experience.
