The U.S. military launched a new strike on a vessel believed to belong to a Designated Terrorist Organization, resulting in the deaths of four narco‑terrorists. This operation marks the 22nd offensive carried out under the direction of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
The attack, which took place on Thursday, is the first of its kind in more than two weeks and brings the total fatalities from such missions to 86.
“On Dec. 4, at the direction of @SecWar Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel in international waters operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization,” the U.S. Southern Command stated in a tweet.
Intelligence confirmed that the ship was transporting illicit narcotics and was traversing a known narco‑trafficking route across the Eastern Pacific. Four male narco‑terrorists on board were killed.
The U.S. Southern Command also posted a video of the strike on social media, which shows the attack on the suspected drug‑laden vessel.
