HM Amit Shah to open largest dairy facility, projects worth Rs 825 crore in Haryana tomorrow

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah heads to Haryana on Friday for a packed schedule of events. He’ll kick things off by inaugurating India’s largest dairy production facility, the Sabar Dairy Plant in Rohtak’s IMT area. This Rs 325 crore project features cutting-edge machinery and promises to create around 1,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The Sabar Dairy Plant stands out as India’s top facility for curd, buttermilk, and yoghurt. It can churn out 150 metric tons of curd, 3 lakh liters of buttermilk, 10 lakh liters of yoghurt, and 10 metric tons of sweets every day. This boost to the cooperative sector highlights efforts to strengthen dairy farming and local employment in Haryana.
In Rohtak, Shah will also join the ‘Khadi Karigar Mahotsav’ at Maharshi Dayanand University. Organized by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Ministry of MSME, the event follows the theme “Swadeshi Se Swaavlamban,” focusing on self-reliance through local crafts. There, he’ll hand out tool kits to 2,200 artisans and distribute modern machinery along with Rs 301 crore in margin money under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). Shah plans to inaugurate new PMEGP units and speak to the crowd about boosting small businesses and jobs.
Shifting to Kurukshetra, Shah will launch a five-day exhibition on India’s new criminal laws. The display targets lawyers, students, parents, and everyday citizens, helping them grasp the latest reforms in the criminal justice system. It covers key changes and successes from the new laws, spotlighting contributions from seven government departments across 10 themed sections.
These reforms, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, mark a major shift. They replace old penal codes with a modern setup that’s faster, easier to access, and more citizen-focused. The exhibition will explain perks like quicker trials, tech-driven processes, and swifter case resolutions, all aimed at building public trust and revamping India’s justice system for the better.
To top it off, Shah will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth about Rs 825 crore in Kurukshetra. These initiatives will upgrade Haryana’s infrastructure, spark job growth, and empower young people, paving the way for stronger community progress.
