“No impact”: JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha on Rahul Gandhi’s Bihar visit

Bihar Politics Heats Up: Sanjay Jha Slams Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra

In a sharp exchange in Bihar politics, Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s recent Voter Adhikar Yatra as a total flop. Speaking to reporters in Patna on Thursday, Jha mocked the Congress leader’s efforts, saying they won’t sway voters ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

"Rahul Gandhi has roamed around Bihar before, but his visits make zero impact," Jha quipped. He pointed out that people in Bihar stand firmly with the NDA alliance and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. "Only they know what they’re really up to," he added with a smirk.

This comes right after Nitish Kumar met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a meeting Jha called "very positive." The two leaders discussed key issues, boosting the NDA’s confidence in the state.

Meanwhile, Amit Shah didn’t hold back either. At a rally in Begusarai, he accused Rahul Gandhi of using the Voter Adhikar Yatra to protect Bangladeshi infiltrators whose names are being removed during Bihar’s Special Intensive Revision of voter lists. "Rahul Baba cares more about these infiltrators than Bihar’s youth or poor," Shah thundered.

He questioned sharply: Should infiltrators stay on our voter lists? Do they deserve rations for the needy, jobs, or medical aid up to five lakh rupees? "This yatra was all about saving them, not helping Bihar’s people," Shah said, firing up the crowd.

Rahul Gandhi’s 15-day Voter Adhikar Yatra wrapped up on September 1, with several INDIA bloc leaders joining him to show unity. But the Congress leader isn’t backing down. In a recent press conference, he blasted the Election Commission of India (ECI) for allegedly blocking a voter fraud probe in Karnataka’s Aland assembly segment.

Gandhi claimed the Karnataka CID’s investigation into vote deletions has stalled for over two years because the ECI ignores their letters. He targeted Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar directly, calling it proof that he’s shielding "vote chors" – people stealing votes.

"The last letter went out just days ago in September, and still no reply," Gandhi said. He alleged a shadowy group uses software to systematically delete votes of opposition supporters, especially from OBC, Dalit, Adivasi, and minority communities.

"We’ve heard these complaints election after election, but now we have 100% proof," Gandhi stressed. In Aland, he revealed, unknown players tried to wipe out around 6,000 votes fraudulently. "The ECI knows who’s behind this centralized attack on voters who back the opposition. It’s targeting the marginalized to rig the game."

As Bihar gears up for polls, this voter rights controversy and NDA-Congress clashes are grabbing headlines. With accusations flying from all sides, Bihar voters watch closely – will these claims shake up the race?
