In Agartala, Tripura, the Tribal Welfare Department just kicked off exciting new programs to help tribal youths build skills and stand on their own feet. These include hands-on training in machine operation and motorcar driving, all aimed at boosting self-reliance in tribal communities.
The spotlight fell on the Machine Operator Assistant Plastic Processing Training Felicitation Programme at Pragna Bhawan. Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma stepped in as the chief guest to launch the event. He handed out honors to 14 top performers from the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), celebrating their hard work and success.
Debbarma shared his thoughts during the ceremony, stressing how vital skill development is for lifting up tribal youths. He gave a shoutout to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha for backing these efforts to support tribal welfare and growth. “Some of our boys and girls have already headed to Bengaluru to gear up for self-reliant lives,” the minister said. “Our goal is to push tribal people ahead through education and skill development. I urge all tribal youths to jump in and join these programs.”
Department officials joined in too, cheering on the graduates and firing up others to sign up for upcoming skill development training in Tripura.
In his remarks, Debbarma added, “We’ve rolled out machine operation and motorcar driving training for fresh tribal youths from the Tribal Welfare Department. Skill development is key to advancing our tribal communities. Since Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Manik Saha came on board, we’ve launched all sorts of programs for them.” He wrapped up by calling on tribal brothers and sisters to step forward: “We must train our youths to thrive and become self-reliant.” ()
