New Delhi, Oct 4 – The Indian Army announced that the fourth edition of the AustraHind joint military exercise will run from 13 to 26 October 2025. The drill will take place at the Irwin Barracks in Perth, Australia, a venue that has hosted the event in previous years.

AustraHind is a two‑week, company‑level training program that lets Indian and Australian troops practice real‑world scenarios in urban and semi‑urban settings. The teams will run exercises such as attacking a hostile target and providing combat first aid, skills that help both forces coordinate more smoothly on the battlefield.

The exercise reflects each country’s commitment under the United Nations to promote global peace and security. By working together, the Indian Army and the Australian Defence Force can sharpen their interoperability and learn from one another’s tactics.

The third AustraHind event ended in November 2024 in Pune, Maharashtra, where soldiers also took a cultural tour of the historic Sinhagad Fort. The Australian contingent visited the National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla during the last day of training.

Since its start in 2022 in Rajasthan, AustraHind alternates annually between India and Australia, building a strong partnership that benefits both armed forces and strengthens regional security.
