The Archery Premier League (APL) kicked off its fifth day with a dramatic set of matches at New Delhi’s Yamuna Sports Complex. The Rajputana Royals chased a five‑straight win streak, while the Kakatiya Knights fought off a challenging rainy, windy day to record their first victory of the season.

The Royals opened strong by beating the Chero Archers 6‑2. The match was a tense affair that ended in a shoot‑off after four sets tied 4‑4. In the decisive round, Ella Gibson fired a clean 10 while her fellow archers missed, clinching the win for the Royals. This triumph extends the team’s unbeaten record to five consecutive victories. Key performers included Swati Dudhwal and Mete Gazos on the compound bow and Katharin Bauer, Mathias Fullerton on the recurve.

Knights claim first win

Earlier in the day, the Kakatiya Knights snapped a losing streak, defeating the Chola Chiefs 5‑3 across four sets. The Knights’ shooters hit a 10 on each of their first three arrows, while the Chiefs struggled to find the high scores. The Chiefs managed to level the first set 75‑75, but the Knights secured the next set 75‑70. In the third and decisive set, the Knights edged the Chiefs 77‑75, earning their maiden victory in the APL.

Marathas dominate Yodhas

The Mighty Marathas wrapped up their match with a 6‑2 victory over Prithviraaj Yodhas. Debutant Aman Saini opened with a perfect 10, and Parneet Kaur’s steady shooting kept the Marathas in front. Despite rain intensifying in the third set, the Marathas maintained a comfortable margin, with standout shots from Abhishek Verma and Mrinal Chauhan.

Weather‑touched action

Rain and wind played a mix of ally and adversary, adding suspense to every arrow. The Kings’ victory record—and the Knights’ reversal of fortunes—highlight how skill and composure can triumph even in less than ideal conditions.

These results set the stage for the final rounds of the first round‑robin stage, as teams look to climb the standings and claim playoff spots. The APL continues to deliver compelling sport‑action for archery fans worldwide.
