Patna, Oct 12 – The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar is riding a wave of enthusiasm as its partners settle on a new seat‑sharing plan for the state’s upcoming legislative assembly polls.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, a key figure in the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), smiled and said the coalition “accepted a single parliamentary seat without any dissent. We’re ready to take the six seats given to us in this pact too.” His words underline the NDA’s focus on collective strength rather than individual agendas.
After talks in Delhi and Patna, the NDA agreed to split the 243‑seat assembly as follows: 101 seats each for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal United (JDU), 29 for the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and six for both Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and HAM. The balance aims to reach voters across Bihar’s diverse regions.
BJP spokesperson Pankaj Singh boasted, “The NDA is fully prepared. After the November 16 result, we will form the government again under Nitish Kumar’s guidance.” He highlighted the coalition’s record of steering the state away from disorder and toward development.
On X, BJP election in‑charge Dharmendra Pradhan posted the agreement: “NDA seat distribution – JDU 101, BJP 101, LJP ( Ram Vilas) 29, RLM 6, HAM 6. We’re united to re‑elect Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with a strong mandate.” The post fired up volunteers eager to turn unity into votes.
With a clear, united plan, the NDA seeks to consolidate its voter base and rely on Nitish Kumar’s reputation for transformative governance. The seat sharing ensures representation from urban centers to rural heartlands, maximizing outreach across Bihar’s varied demographics.
As the election date approaches, momentum in Bihar’s political scene is surging. The coalition’s sharp rhetoric and cohesive strategy signal a robust campaign aimed at delivering a decisive mandate. All eyes are on the electorate, ready to decide Bihar’s future in this crucial battle.
