Israel’s national football team faced a tough loss against Norway in a friendly played in Oslo on Saturday. The match ended 5‑0 in favour of the Norwegians, a heavy defeat that left the Israeli squad looking for a fresh start.

After the final whistle, Israel’s head coach spoke to the press. He said the team recognised the shortcomings from the match and pledged to learn from the experience. “We’re turning the page. The players know what we need to improve,” he said. “It’s a setback, but it’s also a wake‑up call that will make us stronger.”

The defeat followed a 1‑1 draw with the United Arab Emirates a week earlier, but the coach’s comments suggest a focus on rebuilding. He emphasised that work in training will be tighter and that the squad will focus on mounting a stronger attack against lower‑ranking sides in the upcoming international fixtures.

Israel’s next opponent is Croatia in a friendly that will test the team’s progress. The coach urged his players to keep focus and to pour all lessons from the Norway loss into their next game. “We’ll dig into what didn’t work and come back better,” he added.

As Israel prepares for its next match, fans and analysts alike are watching to see whether the team can translate the coach’s determination into improved performances. The recent heavy loss serves as a catalyst for change, and the Israeli side is now looking to use it as a foundation for future success in international competitions.
