IndiGo is moving back to Terminal 2 at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on October 26, after a temporary switch earlier this year for maintenance work. The change is part of the airline’s plan to make travel easier for passengers and to keep airport operations running smoothly.
How the new terminal layout works
- Terminal 2 will handle all flights numbered 6E 2000 to 6E 2999.
- Terminal 3 will be the hub for flights numbered 6E 5000 to 6E 5999 and every international departure.
- Terminal 1 will keep all other domestic IndiGo flights.
This shift follows the temporary move in April 2025, when all IndiGo services had to shift from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 because of maintenance. With Terminal 2 reopened, passengers can use the airport’s full range of terminals again.

IndiGo expands to Guangzhou
At the same time, IndiGo is growing its international reach. It will launch daily direct flights from Delhi to Guangzhou, China, starting November 10. The Delhi‑to‑Guangzhou flight leaves at 9:45 PM and lands at 4:40 AM. The return flight departs at 5:50 AM and arrives in Delhi at 10:10 AM.
This new route helps restore India‑China air links that had been paused since 2020. IndiGo already restarted daily flights from Kolkata to Guangzhou on October 26, making it one of the first Indian carriers to resume direct service to China.
