Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., blasted the so‑called “chaos” she believes is being stirred up by governors in blue states and accused them of prioritizing a “progressive, leftist ideology” over the actual needs of their constituents.

During an interview on John Catsimatidis’ “Cats Roundtable” show, Pirro said that it’s unacceptable for mayors or leaders to be driven more by their political beliefs than by the practical responsibilities of governing. She warned that when officials become obsessed with “hating who the president is” or focus obsessively on making the president look bad—especially on sensitive matters such as immigration—this leads to needless turmoil.

Pirro also emphasized that citizens “don’t have a right to be in this country” unless they’re encouraged to stay and abide by the law, noting even the Vatican has walls to remind people of boundaries.

The attorney defended President Trump’s decision to route the National Guard and other federal forces to D.C. in response to a spike in carjackings that had turned the city into a dangerous place. She cited that since the federal surge began, authorities had made 772 arrests and seized 671 guns, while also addressing the tragic shooting of two National Guard troops in the city before Thanksgiving. Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, succumbed to her injuries, and fellow soldier Andrew Wolfe, 24, was described as “hopefully stable.”

Addressing the long‑time investigation into the 2001 pipe bomb incident in Washington, Pirro pointed out that suspect Brian Cole Jr. was only detained recently because the Biden administration “put it on the back burner.”

She concluded by noting that investigators had combed through more than 3 million pieces of data in the course of their work.
