Chennai: The much‑anticipated Tamil romantic sci‑fi series Heartiley Battery, created by director Sadasivam Senthil Rajan, is set to arrive on December 16 this year.
It will debut on the OTT platform Zee5 Tamil, where audiences can expect a fresh blend of romance, science, and deeply human moments. According to insiders, the show promises a spirited love story that examines how logic and emotion intersect in the modern world.
Sadasivam Senthil Rajan will both write and direct the series, aiming to give viewers a new angle on contemporary relationships—one that challenges whether rationality can ever fully capture the heart.
The cast features Guru Lakshman as Sid and Padine Kumar as Sofia. The narrative follows Sofia, a 16‑year‑old science buff who thinks love is strictly biology and chemistry. After watching relationships, even her parents’, break down, she resolves to clarify love’s mysteries. By the time she’s 24, she invents a device that claims to measure love’s authenticity. When she meets Sid, a humorist who dismisses her gadget as nonsense, their playful chase raises the classic question: can science decode the language of the heart?
Talking about his role, Guru Lakshman remarked, “Sid is a character who believes deeply in emotions, instinct, and the magic of love.
