Stage set for Telangana Rising Global Summit

In Hyderabad on December 7, LatestNewsX reported that the stage is being set for the Telangana Rising Global Summit, which will take place at the nearby Bharat Future City. The two‑day conference, starting on Monday, is designed to establish Telangana as a premier global investment hub, and state officials plan to launch the Vision 2047 plan—aimed at turning the state into a $3 trillion economy.

Around 154 delegates representing 44 countries are expected to show up, while more than 2,500 participants—including international business leaders, investors, policy makers, technocrats, celebrities, academics and innovators—have already confirmed their attendance.

The summit is seen as a major opportunity to secure large foreign investments and to showcase Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s strategy for building Bharat Future City and rejuvenating the Musi River.

Governor Jishnu Dev Verma will officially open the event on Monday afternoon. During his address, Chief Minister Reddy will discuss Telangana’s public governance, investment prospects, government support, the objectives of Vision 2047, and India’s Future City concept.

Through this forum the government intends to detail how it plans to reach a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047, by dividing the state into three economic zones—Core Urban Region Economy (CURE), Peri‑Urban Region Economy (PURE) and Rural and Agricultural Region Economy (RARE).

Reddy noted that the summit will bring together global corporations, union ministers, chief ministers from various states, ministers, and dignitaries from multiple sectors.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy visited the venue on Sunday to review arrangements, expressing confidence that Telangana would transform through this prestigious event.

Key speakers for the opening session include Nobel laureate economist Abhijit Banerjee, Managing Director and Head of the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Jeremy Jurgens, Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, TMTG CEO Eric Swider, and Biocon’s Executive Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar‑Shaw.

State ministers will chair 27 special panel discussions covering topics such as power, green mobility, semiconductors, frontier technologies, Telangana as a global education center, the rise of aerospace and defence, talent mobility, affordable and equitable healthcare, partnerships with ASEAN tigers, the gig economy, boosting farmer income through value chains, accelerating life‑science innovation, heritage, culture and future‑ready tourism, capital and productivity, affordable housing, Musi River rejuvenation, and blue‑green infrastructure in Hyderabad’s integrated transport and urban‑rural connectivity.

Additional sessions will focus on how Bharat Future City can attract a $3 trillion Telangana economy, on the ease of doing business 2.0, on global capability centres and innovative public‑private partnerships.

After the panel debates, guests will enjoy a concert performed by renowned music director Keeravani, followed by a cultural program featuring Telangana’s traditional dance styles.

Chief Minister Reddy, who inspected the venue on Saturday, urged officials to ensure adequate facilities for delegates and representatives of participating organisations. He toured the site from a helicopter, examining every hall set up for sessions and exhibition stalls, and viewed a digital display of the Musi River rejuvenation initiative. He also requested that a statue of Telangana Talli be erected at the venue. Officials were instructed to take proper precautions for welcome arrangements, accommodation and other delegate needs.
