Comedian Andy Dick seen slurring words on Hollywood Blvd, claiming Outkast ‘loves’ him in resurfaced video
A fresh clip of comedian Andy Dick surfaced last month, showing the 59‑year‑old in a strange state on Hollywood Boulevard near the spot where he’d be found a few days later. In the video, Dick sits on the pavement with a “VIP” badge draped around his neck, a glass of clear liquid in hand, and oddly claims that the rap duo Outkast appreciates him.
The Instagram post, added on November 9, begins with cameraman Joe Andaloro greeting him. “What’s up Andy, you look good man,” he says, to which Dick replies, “I always look good, boy, thank you.” When Andaloro mentions that OutKast is being honored inside a nearby venue, Dick laments missing the chance to see them and notes he’s remembered them from his MTV era.
In the clip, Andaloro reminds him that the performers are right there: “Andre and Big Boy.” Dick, visibly flustered, questions why he wasn’t brought along. Andaloro insists, “No, I swear to God.” Dick jokes that he’s just on the curb while the famed duo head into their show, remarking, “I know them! From MTV days. I mean, I’m on the curb now and they’re going into their show. But different ones, different life.” He then says, “You don’t know how much they love me. It’s f—ked up that you guys didn’t tell me,” before continuing, “I know them from MTV days.”
The clip was posted about four weeks before TMZ captured a more striking scene of Dick in apparent distress earlier in the week. In that photo, he’s slumped on the sidewalk with his eyes closed, wearing blue plaid pajamas and a tan jacket. His black‑framed glasses lay beside a can of a beverage.
A passerby hurriedly called for Narcan—a life‑saving drug that counters opioid overdoses—and a man administered it to Dick, who eventually regained consciousness. Although first responders arrived on the scene, Dick declined further medical assistance.
Later that same video, Andaloro concludes with a blunt assessment: “Andy Dick. Was on the ground just hanging out. He seemed better. He seemed ok compared to other times I’ve seen him. He seemed fine. Like fine-ish.”
One viewer commented on the post, noting they’d met Dick at a gas station in Encino and that he seemed easygoing and “down to earth.”
Dick’s history of legal troubles and public intoxication incidents is well documented. He was arrested in January 2023 for public drunkenness and for not registering as a sex offender. In 2016, he admitted having entered drug rehabilitation programs 20 times.
