‘Manufactured narrative’: JP Nadda slams Rahul Gandhi, says Congress making excuses for Bihar loss

BJP’s national chief, JP Nadda, fired a scathing comment at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying the opposition is busy making excuses before the Bihar Assembly elections.
In a video released the same day Rahul Gandhi gave a press conference claiming “25 lakh fake voters” in the Haryana Assembly polls, Nadda accused the Congress chair of “creating manufactured narratives.” He said Gandhi already knew the Mahagathbandhan would lose in Bihar and was looking for reasons to shift voters’ attention.
“We’re in the middle of the Bihar polls, but Rahul is sitting in Delhi holding a fake press conference,” Nadda said. “He knows the Mahagathbandhan is failing and is already searching for excuses.” He added that Gandhi was “saying too much about the Special Intensive Revision” to mislead the public.
The BJP chief pointed out that the Supreme Court had cleared electronic voting machines (EVMs), and the Election Commission has repeatedly asked Rahul to prove any electoral fraud. “If he had evidence, why hasn’t he brought it to court?” Nadda asked. “He only wants to defame the country and stir the youth.”
He also warned that elections are won on hard work and trust, not on “drama and photoshoots.” Nadda claimed Rahul protects infiltrators and spreads “foreign‑inspired misinformation” that could weaken the Mahagathbandhan.
When he compared Rahul to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nadda praised Modi’s development record, highlighting the lift of 25 crore people out of poverty over the last 11 years. He noted India’s jump from the 11th‑to‑4th spot in the global economy list and said the country is on track to become the world’s top economy under Modi’s leadership.
Nadda finished by saying reports suggest Mahagathbandhan candidates are reluctant to call Rahul for rallies, hinting the alliance may face defeat in Bihar.
