‘Will wipe out Pakistan if it does not stop terrorism’: Army Chief

India’s Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi delivered a tough warning to Pakistan on Friday, saying the country must end cross-border terrorism or face total destruction. Speaking to soldiers at an army cantonment in Ghadsana village, Sriganganagar, he made it clear that India won’t hold back like it did during Operation Sindoor.

“We will wipe out Pakistan from the face of the earth if they don’t stop terrorism. Be prepared—God willing, the opportunity will come soon,” Dwivedi declared. He stressed that India’s next move against Pakistan would be decisive and much more destructive.

Dwivedi urged Pakistan to drop its support for terrorism if it wants to survive on the global stage. “This time, India will take such strong action that Pakistan will have to rethink whether it wants to stay on this map,” he added.

He highlighted Operation Sindoor as a game-changer, launched right after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack. During the operation, the Indian Army and Air Force struck nine Pakistani terror hideouts, taking out over 100 terrorists. The Army hit seven targets, while the Air Force handled two.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi named the mission Operation Sindoor and dedicated it to women. “It has become such a big part of our lives that it will stay with us forever,” Dwivedi said, noting how the whole world condemned the Pahalgam attack and backed India.

The Army Chief explained that India shared clear proof of the destroyed terror camps with the world. “If we hadn’t, Pakistan would have covered it up,” he said. Now, he added, India stands fully ready for whatever comes next.

In a special moment, Dwivedi honored three key officers for their bravery in Operation Sindoor: Commandant Prabhakar Singh from the 140th Battalion of the BSF, Major Ritesh Kumar from the Rajputana Rifles, and Havildar Mohit Gera. “These men show the courage and resolve of our Indian Armed Forces,” he told the troops, calling on everyone to gear up for future threats.
