Host Kajol asked her about entering such a storied family, and Alia explained how love blinds you to the bigger picture at first. “When you’re so deeply into a relationship, the family legacy is the last thing on your mind,” she said. “It’s all so personal—you don’t think about it professionally. That realization came later for me. Like, during the 100-year celebration of Raj Kapoor, it suddenly dawned on me: ‘Oh my God, Raj Kapoor is Raha’s great-grandfather.’ That’s when the connection really clicked.”
Alia also shared a sweet story about her dad, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. She mentioned they only had one real talk about love in her life, keeping things light and personal.
Alia and Ranbir welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, on November 6, 2022, in Mumbai, adding another chapter to the Kapoor legacy.
