The Grace Foundation hosted the 8th Quambiant Developers Global Grace Cancer Run (GGCR) 2025 on Sunday in Hyderabad. The event, held at Gachibowli Stadium, featured 2‑kilometre, 5‑kilometre, and 10‑kilometre races that drew about 40,000 runners and supporters. This is a huge jump from the original five‑thousand‑person turnout when the run first started, showing how quickly the event has grown.
Chief of Hyderabad City Police, VC. Sajjanar, welcomed the huge turnout. “Hyderabad hosted one of the biggest runs in the country, thanks to the Grace Foundation’s sponsorship,” he said. “We had roughly 40,000 participants. The rise in cancer cases makes it vital to spread awareness. Everyone should help educate people so they can catch cancer early and stay healthy.” He praised Dr. Chinnababu and his team for their efforts in raising awareness.
The run’s goal is simple: promote early detection, increase cancer screening, and support screening programs. By bringing together thousands of people, the event helps remind residents that early testing can save lives.
In July, a different kind of race – the first Formula‑E race in India – also took the streets of Hyderabad. That high‑tech event, highlighted by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rao (KTR), showcased Telangana’s growing reputation as a hub for clean technology and electric mobility. KTR said the race was more than a spectacle; it was a statement that Hyderabad and Telangana are ready for the future. The Formula‑E event brought almost ₹700 crore in economic activity and put Hyderabad on the global map for technology and innovation.
Both events underline Hyderabad’s efforts to combine public health with cutting‑edge technology. While the cancer run focuses on saving lives through early detection, the Formula‑E race drives the city’s vision to become India’s Mobility Valley. Together, they show how Hyderabad is stepping forward, encouraging residents to run, learn, and innovate for a healthier, more sustainable future.
