He also mentioned the exciting moment of seeing the real Zende visit the movie set. “In this behind-the-scenes photo, the reel Inspector Zende meets the OG (original) Inspector Zende. It was an honor for Inspector Zende sir to visit us, meet Manoj ji, and my father. It felt truly special,” Raut added.

His bravery, humor, and Mumbai-style spirit make his story inspiring.” Bajpayee also shared that meeting Inspector Zende felt like stepping into a storybook, and playing him allowed him to explore a gritty yet entertaining world.
The film “Inspector Zende” is written and directed by Chinmay Mandlekar. It’s produced by Jay Shewakramani and Om Raut under Northern Lights Films. The story features Manoj Bajpayee as Inspector Zende, along with Jim Sarbh playing Carl Bhojraj, a character inspired by the notorious serial killer Charles Sobhraj. The cast also includes Sachin Khedekar, Girija Oak, Bhalchandra Kadam, Harish Dudhade, Bharat Savale, Nitin Bhajan, and Onkar Raut.
If you’re into gripping crime stories with a touch of Mumbai’s local flavor, “Inspector Zende” on Netflix is a must-watch!
