In Mumbai, actress Sayani Gupta, who stars in the popular Netflix show Delhi Crime, gave a candid interview about her unusual memory before season 3 drops.
The interview took place in Mumbai’s BKC area. Gupta said her mind works like a “hard disk”: it keeps only what feels important and deletes the rest. “I remember every line of my script if I’m on set,” she told reporters. “Once the shoot ends, those lines fade away. The next day I might not recall them at all.” She joked that she’s grateful she “doesn’t forget the dialogues” during filming, but those memories are temporary.
Gupta explained that being able to compartmentalise is essential for actors. “If an actor couldn’t separate scenes, we’d lose our minds,” she said. This “self‑purging” system helps her focus on the present moment while keeping the narrative clear.
Delhi Crime has earned an International Emmy for Best Drama Series and is celebrated worldwide for its realistic storytelling and emotional depth. The series follows Shefali’s sharp police officer, Vartika Chaturvedi, as she leads her team through challenging investigations and heavy public pressure.
Fans of the show should mark their calendars: the third season of Delhi Crime will premiere on Netflix on November 13.
