Mumbai Police Questions Raj Kundra in Rs 60 Crore Fraud Case Involving Shilpa Shetty
Mumbai’s Economic Offences Wing has taken a big step in the alleged Rs 60 crore fraud case against Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra. They recently recorded Raj Kundra’s statement as part of the ongoing investigation.
According to an official update from Mumbai Police, the probe focuses on claims that Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra duped businessman Deepak Kothari out of over Rs 60 crore. Kothari says he invested the money between 2015 and 2023 for business growth, but the couple allegedly spent it on personal luxuries instead.
Police issued a summon to Raj Kundra, and he appeared for questioning. "Investigations continue against Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra in this Rs 60 crore fraud case," the police confirmed. They’ve already noted down his statements, and they plan to call him back next week for more interrogation.
