Actor Vijay Deverakonda, the popular Telugu star, took his family to Puttaparthi on Tuesday for a nostalgic school tour. While there, he posted a short video on X (formerly Twitter) that showed the actor walking through his old classrooms, hugging former teachers, and signing autographs for the current students.
In the clip, a slide reads, “Going back to where we all started – our foundation, where most of our core memories come from – Puttaparthi.” The next frame shows Vijay posing with the Head Mistress, whom he describes as “our HM aunty, we loved her and feared her, but everyone’s favourite.” He then flashes a photo of the first classroom he attended, Section 1A, and a group shot in the prayer hall. “Our prayer hall. Many prayers were said, many naps taken and many memories made,” he writes, recalling lessons of Vedas, mantras and bhajans.
The video continues with a photo of Vijay signing autographs for today’s pupils, a clip from his old room B‑13, and a group shot with all his teachers. “And our sirs, who kept us in line and focused at that hyper‑energetic age,” he muses. He ends with a loving note to his fans: “Forever indebted and forever love.”
Later that day, as the family headed back to Hyderabad, the actor’s car was involved in a minor collision. Vijay replied on Instagram, “All is well ❤️ Car took a hit, but we’re all fine. Went to a strength workout and just got back home. My head hurts, but nothing a biryani and sleep can’t fix. Big hugs and love to everyone. Don’t let the news stress you 🎈❤️.” The post reassured fans that everyone was safe and the journey was close to an adventure.
Vijay’s heart‑warming return to Puttaparthi reminded fans that the places and people who shape us stay with us, no matter how far we travel.
