Mumbai, September 5 – Actor Vikrant Massey took to social media to wish his film “12th Fail” director Vidhu Vinod Chopra a very happy birthday. He shared a warm message along with a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, calling Chopra his “guiding light” and thanking him for his support. Vikrant also wished Chopra a happy Teacher’s Day, sharing how much he appreciates the mentorship and inspiration he received from the filmmaker.
“12th Fail” is an inspiring Bollywood movie inspired by the real-life story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. The film follows a young man who fights poverty and repeated failures in school to finally crack the tough UPSC exam, showcasing his resilience and determination.
Vikrant Massey’s role in “12th Fail” earned him the prestigious National Award for Best Actor. He shared this honor with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who received the Best Actor award for his performance in “Jawan” by director Atlee.
Expressing his gratitude, Vikrant thanked the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), and the jury for recognizing his work. He also dedicated the award to society’s marginalized groups, saying, “This award is for those who are often overlooked and are fighting socio-economic challenges every day.”
Vikrant added, “A 20-year-old boy’s dream has come true today. I am grateful to the audiences for their love and support. Sharing my first National Award with Shah Rukh Khan is a dream come true for me.”
Looking ahead, Vikrant will next star in a biopic called “White,” where he will portray spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
