Mumbai, Dec 10 – Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha took to her social media channels to post heartfelt birthday greetings for the two most important men in her life: her father, seasoned actor Shatrughan Sinha, and her husband, Zaheer Iqbal, whose birthdays fall just a day apart.
Her father marked his birthday on December 9, and today, December 10, Sonakshi celebrated her own and her husband’s special day. She shared a photo of the three of them beaming together and wrote, “The only men that matter. Ilysm. Happy birthday! So lucky you were born,” followed by three heart emojis.
While the caption plainly shows her affection for her father and spouse, fans quickly picked up on a subtle implication. Referring to the two as “the only men that matter” sparked speculation about whether her relationship with her brothers, Luv and Kush, might still be strained.
For those unfamiliar, rumors of a split between Sonakshi and her brothers went viral when they missed her wedding. The couple wed in a small ceremony at Hailey’s house in Mumbai, attended by their parents, close relatives, and friends. What drew attention was the absence of Luv and Kush on such a pivotal day of their sister’s life. Some commentators suggested that the brothers’ absence could be tied to discomfort with Sonakshi’s interfaith union, but the brothers have since denied any fallout.
Luv explained that he skipped the ceremony for personal reasons, while Kush claimed he attended one of the events. Despite his assertion, he was missing from the wedding photos and videos that show the rest of the family.
