Bettiah, Nov 8 – Bihar’s BJP chief Sanjay Jaiswal is confident that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win even more seats than it did in the 2010 Bihar Assembly elections. “The energy I see across the state now matches the enthusiasm of 2010,” he told reporters from Aurangabad to Saharsa to Champaran.
“We’re riding on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare schemes, and voters have already decided to give the NDA a big win.” Jaiswal added that the 2025 slogan “Is Baar Narendra Modi Aur Nitish” will become a reality. “We’ll make history by winning all the seats,” he promised.
In 2010, the NDA—led by Nitish Kumar of JD(U)—captured a landslide victory. The alliance won 206 of 243 seats, a huge jump from the 143 seats it held in 2005. This win over Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD‑LJP coalition and a weaker Congress marked the start of a second consecutive term for the NDA in Bihar.
Jaiswal fired back at political commentator Prashant Kishor, who said the high voter turnout signaled a desire for change. “Even if that party gets only a few thousand votes, they’ll call it a win,” Jaiswal said. “Their leaders don’t even contest elections, so the blame doesn’t fall on anyone else.”
He also took aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s focus on Gen Z voters. “The whole Generation Z is with PM Modi. They’re the future of our country. Rahul can say what he wants, but except his mother, nobody believes him,” Jaiswal said.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi spoke at a press conference in New Delhi on Nov 5, arguing that young voters, especially Gen Z, must take the election seriously. He accused the ruling coalition of stealing the future of the youth. “India’s Gen Z and the broader youth vote hold the power to restore our democracy with truth and non‑violence,” he pointed out.
Gandhi has been urging the youth to confront unemployment, corruption and inequality. He says that leaning on young voters is essential to “save the Constitution.”
In short, Sanjay Jaiswal is urging voters across Bihar to back the NDA, which he believes will surpass its historic 2010 victory. The party’s focus on Modi’s welfare programs, the strong leadership of Nitish Kumar, and the message that the future belongs to young voters will shape the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
