Gujarat sets the stage for growth with upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced exciting plans for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences (VGRC). These events aim to showcase the state’s thriving industries, vibrant culture, and strong economy, while attracting investments from across India and beyond.
In a recent meeting in Delhi with top business leaders and industry associations, CM Patel highlighted how Gujarat has become a major growth engine for India. Since the debut of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in 2003, the state has gained a reputation as a hub for business and innovation. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Gujarat has transformed into an economic powerhouse.
“Vibrant Gujarat is a perfect mix of trade, culture, and industry,” Patel said. “The new regional conferences will build on our success and help accelerate growth in different parts of the state.”
He pointed out that regions like North Gujarat, South Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Central Gujarat often have higher production capacities than entire states, showing their strong economic potential. The regional summits are designed to boost sector-specific investments and create fresh opportunities for small and medium businesses (MSMEs) and allied industries.
The first VGRC is scheduled for October 9-10 in North Gujarat. The theme, “Regional Aspirations – Global Ambitions,” reflects Gujarat’s aim to connect local strengths with global markets. The conferences will feature trade shows, exhibitions, and seminars focused on various industries, giving local entrepreneurs a chance to meet potential investors.
CM Patel emphasized that these conferences align with Prime Minister Modi’s “Vocal for Local, Local for Global” vision. They will help Gujarat contribute toward building a $3.5 trillion economy by the year 2047 and strengthen the country’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” movement, which promotes self-reliance.
Gujarat’s top officials also highlighted the state’s policies that make it easy for businesses to operate, like the Single Window Clearance Act and digital investor portals. The state has attracted investments in areas such as semiconductors, renewable energy, green hydrogen, defense, and aerospace. The regional conferences aim to bring this growth even to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, spreading prosperity across Gujarat.
Industry leaders, including FICCI President Harsha Vardhan Agarwal and Hester Biosciences CEO Rajiv Gandhi, praised Gujarat’s efforts and said the VGRC could inspire other states to follow suit.
The first regional conference in North Gujarat marks the beginning of a series of similar events in different parts of the state. These gatherings are designed to boost local industry, promote investment, and help Gujarat achieve its ambitious development goals.
Stay tuned for these important events and opportunities to be part of Gujarat’s exciting growth story!
