Shooting of M S Bhaskar’s ‘Grandfather’ wrapped up, say makers

Chennai, Dec 11 (LatestNewsX) – The team behind director Prankster Rahul’s first feature, “Grandfather”, featuring M S Bhaskar and Prankster Rahul as the leads, has just confirmed that filming is finished.
Reporters close to the crew say the horror‑comedy was wrapped in a brisk 45 days of shooting, mostly around Chennai and Puducherry. The film is billed as a full‑on commercial entertainer, mixing fantasy, slick action, emotional moments, horror, and off‑beat comedy – every spice that keeps audiences hooked.
“Grandfather” was produced by Kutty Stories Pictures and brings together a strong supporting cast, including Mime Gopi, Suniel Shetty, Arul Das, Munishkanth, Sreenath, Siva Aravind, Priyadarshini, Hareesh Perady, Madras Rama, Bipin Kumar, Anjali Rao and Abhinaya in key roles.
The technical outfit is equally solid: music by Ranjin Raj, visuals handled by cinematographer Santhanam, art direction by Prem, and editing by Divakar. Shiju Alex is the executive producer, while Buvanesh Chinnaswamy is backing the project on behalf of Kutty Stories, ensuring no expense is spared for a polished final product. Co‑producers Metro Murali and Metro Giri are also on board.
Prankster Rahul, who first caught attention with his viral YouTube videos, hopes this film will resonate just as strongly with viewers.
With principal photography now complete, the unit has moved straight into post‑production. According to insiders, the post‑production works are moving at full speed, and the film should be ready for release sooner rather than later.
