Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warmly praised RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on his 75th birthday, highlighting his lifelong dedication to society and national unity. Modi shared these thoughts in a special tribute, calling Bhagwat an inspiration for his work based on the ancient principle of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – the idea that the world is one family.
In his article, Modi described Bhagwat’s journey in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), his strong leadership, and his push for “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” – a vision of a united and excellent India. Modi noted how Bhagwat connects easily with the youth, embraces change, and even adapted RSS activities to digital platforms during the tough COVID-19 crisis. “Continuing traditional RSS work was challenging, but Mohan Ji suggested using more technology,” Modi wrote. He also remembered the loss of many dedicated RSS volunteers during the pandemic, yet praised how Bhagwat’s inspiration kept everyone’s spirits high.
Modi ended his tribute by wishing Bhagwat a long, healthy life in service to “Maa Bharti” (Mother India), emphasizing how his approach builds trust, brotherhood, and equality across society.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders quickly echoed Modi’s sentiments, celebrating Bhagwat’s contributions to RSS and the nation. BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal told , “Under Mohan Bhagwat’s leadership, RSS has opened a new chapter of service. Dedication and sacrifice define the organization now, and everything PM Modi said is spot on.”
Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam added his praise, saying Bhagwat has devoted his life to India’s progress. “His tireless efforts inspire us all. He dreams of India leading the world, and that’s becoming reality today,” Kadam said. He pointed out how global interest in India’s yoga, Ayurveda, and diet shows this shift. “Even warring nations now seek PM Modi’s advice for peace. India is stepping up as the Vishwaguru,” Kadam noted.
This birthday tribute underscores Bhagwat’s role in shaping RSS’s service-oriented ethos and his influence on India’s unity and global image.
