Yashoda, a 38‑year‑old mother of two, was found hanged in a room at the Oyo Champion Comforts lodge in Bengaluru’s Agrahara Dasarahalli area. Police say she had been in an eight‑year affair with a man named Vishwanath. She first met Vishwanath through a friend; when the friend’s husband heard about the relationship, he took his wife to the same hotel. Yashoda booked a room next to theirs, knocked on the door, but Vishwanath didn’t answer. A quarrel with hotel staff followed, after which Yashoda reportedly left the room and hung herself from a ceiling fan. The Magadi Road Police have opened a case and are probing the details.
In a separate incident, police discovered a human skeleton in an unfinished apartment on the fourth floor of Block C at Samruddhi Apartment in Bengaluru. A security guard found the remains while cleaning the site. Investigators estimate the body belongs to a male aged about 35‑40 and that the death occurred roughly ten months ago. The bones are largely decomposed, but the man was wearing a shirt and trousers. Police are treating the case as a possible suicide while keeping foul play under consideration and are working to identify the individual. A Scene of Crime Officers team, along with forensic specialists, inspected the location. The apartment, owned by a Mr. Sridhar, had been stalled for years due to legal disputes before construction resumed.
