Twitch star involved in terrifying high-speed crash while livestreaming
A popular online personality escaped serious injury after getting caught in a scary, high‑speed collision while broadcasting live from his car with three other people. Twitch creator MeltIsLIVE—real name Jalen Melton—was recording for his 138,000 followers when he clipped another vehicle on the I‑85 just north of downtown Atlanta, according to a TMZ report. The twenty‑four‑year‑old lost control of the car, sending the seat next to him into a frantic state as the rest of the passengers screamed. The footage, which shows the chaos, eventually cut to black when the vehicle smashed into a third car, flipping the camera and plunging the stream into darkness.
According to an Atlanta Police Department spokesperson, no one sustained serious injuries. What’s left on the highway is a smoking wreck with its front and back heavily dented, later captured by fellow Twitch streamer HyyJoe. This isn’t MeltIsLIVE’s first livestreaming mishap: in April 2024 he was again spotted clipping a car while looking at his phone, as TMZ reported.
Twitch has since suspended Melton’s account for violating community guidelines or terms of service, as announced on the MeltIsLIVE page. The influencer hasn’t yet replied to calls for comments.
