The action‑thriller “The Trainer” is finished shooting. The film, led by Tamil stars Srikanth and Shaam, was produced by Neela under the banner TransIndia Media & Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
The story draws inspiration from the “Kaavalan” app, a mobile safety tool created by the Tamil Nadu Police to protect women. In the movie, Srikanth plays a dog trainer who works with a real dog named Lee. Shaam steps into the role of a police officer, and together they tackle a crime syndicate run by an acupuncture doctor. The plot follows a hero who can read people by their sweat, runs an orphanage, and becomes a target when the gang goes after a woman he loves. He must clear his name and save his children, leading to an emotional climax.
The film packs its promise of action, featuring at least eight high‑octane fight sequences that are sure to keep audiences on the edge. Supporting actors include Pujitha Ponnda, Anjana Kirthi, Junior MGR, Vagai Chandrasekar, and Sai Dheena.
“The Trainer” is shot by cinematographer Arunmozhi Cholan, scored by Karthik Raja (son of legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja), and edited by Niranjan Antony. With its mix of social relevance and intense action, the movie is set to attract viewers across India’s Tamil‑speaking audience.
