Hazard and Fabregas nominated for Premier League Hall of Fame

Chelsea fans are buzzing with excitement as two of their all-time favorites, Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas, land spots on the 2025 Premier League Hall of Fame shortlist. This prestigious honor, which started in 2021, already celebrates 24 football legends, including five Chelsea icons like Petr Cech, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole, and John Terry. Cole and Terry made it in just last year, keeping the Blues’ legacy strong.

Eden Hazard stole hearts at Stamford Bridge during his seven magical seasons with Chelsea. The Belgian star dazzled with his flair, creativity, and game-changing goals, earning Chelsea Player of the Year honors four times. In the 2014/15 season, he even scooped the Premier League Player of the Year award. Hazard led Chelsea to two league titles and stands out as the only player from his era to hit over 50 goals and 50 assists in England’s top flight. But it’s those unforgettable moments—his solo runs, clutch strikes, and silky skills—that make him a true Chelsea hero and one of the Premier League’s most entertaining talents.

Cesc Fabregas joined the party in 2014, teaming up with Hazard to form a deadly duo that powered Chelsea to Premier League glory in 2015 and 2017. After shining at Arsenal and Barcelona, the Spanish midfielder brought his world-class passing game back to England. Fabregas made history as the first player to rack up 15 or more assists in a Premier League season with two different clubs. His total of 111 assists ranks him second all-time, cementing his status as one of the competition’s greatest creative midfielders.

These Chelsea stars face tough competition from other nominees like Sol Campbell, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe, Patrice Evra, Les Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler, Gary Neville, Michael Owen, Teddy Sheringham, David Silva, Yaya Touré, Edwin van der Sar, and Nemanja Vidic. Together, this 15-man shortlist boasts over 5,000 Premier League appearances, more than 1,000 goals, and a whopping 44 league titles. Only two players will earn induction this year—it’s the Premier League’s top individual award. Fans can catch the big reveal at a special event on November 4, 2025. Who will join the Premier League Hall of Fame ranks? Stay tuned!
