Bihar polls: Delhi CM Rekha Gupta to campaign for 3 days from tomorrow

Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta landed in Patna on Monday to fire‑up the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections. She will hold 12–15 rallies, public meetings and roadshows over the next three days, the BJP said.

The first round of voting in Bihar starts on November 6 and the second on November 11. Results are expected on November 14. Gupta’s tight, high‑intensity tour will take her to key constituencies where polls are set, such as Siwan, Baikunthpur, Gaya City, Gaura Bauram, and Bhagalpur.

On November 4 she will address crowds in Siwan, Barharia and nearby areas. The next day, she will visit Gaura Bauram, Arwal, Gaya City and Aurangabad. On the first voting day, her speeches will reach Bhagalpur, Warisaliganj, Hisua and Dinara. She is expected to return to New Delhi in the evening of November 6.

The announcement came as BJP President J.P. Nadda met party general secretaries in Delhi. Earlier in the campaign, Union Home Minister Amit Shah attacked former Bihar leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, blaming their 15‑year rule for lawlessness that stifled industry and shut down sugar mills. Shah praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for restoring order and opening the state to growth, and promised to revive all closed sugar mills through the central cooperative department.

Key topics: Bihar Assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, NDA campaign, BJP rallies, voting dates, industrial revival, sugar mill restart, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Nitish Kumar.
