Bomb Threats Rock Delhi: Hospitals, Hotel, and High Court Targeted in Hoax Alerts
Delhi woke up to a series of scary bomb threats on Saturday, September 13, leaving hospitals, a luxury hotel, and even the High Court on high alert. The Delhi Fire Service and police teams jumped into action, but thankfully, all turned out to be hoaxes with no real danger found. Let’s break down what happened in the national capital.
First up, three Max Hospitals in Delhi faced bomb threats. The alerts hit branches in Shalimar Bagh, Saket, and Dwarka, creating panic among patients and staff. It all started around 4:47 PM when the fire department got a call about the Dwarka location. Quick as a flash, Delhi Police and fire teams rushed in, kicking off a full search operation. After combing through everything, officials confirmed nothing suspicious turned up. "No threats detected," they said, easing everyone’s nerves.
Not long before that, the swanky Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi received a bomb threat via email. Guests and employees held their breath as security forces swept the place. Once again, the search came up empty—pure hoax. The hotel’s spokesperson stepped up to reassure everyone: "After a thorough security check, authorities confirmed it was a false alarm. The safety of our guests and team comes first, and we’re staying extra vigilant." Delhi Police has now launched a probe to track down who sent that shady email.
The drama didn’t stop there. Just a day earlier, on Friday, the Delhi High Court plunged into chaos over a similar email warning of a bomb on the premises. The threat spread like wildfire, forcing all court benches to halt proceedings right away. Lawyers, litigants, and staff rushed out in a frenzy, turning the usually calm court complex into a scene straight out of a movie. Security forces sealed off the area in no time, with Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, sniffer dogs, fire trucks, and ambulances on standby. Teams scoured every corner, but no suspicious items showed up.
Delhi Police sources revealed the High Court threat came from an unknown sender via email, and they’re digging deep to find the culprit. These back-to-back bomb threat hoaxes in Delhi have authorities on edge, investigating possible links and urging the public to stay calm but report any odd activity.
As the probes continue, Delhi’s safety remains top priority. Keep an eye on updates from Delhi Police and fire services for more on these Delhi bomb threats.
