BJP Launches Nationwide Service Drive to Celebrate PM Modi’s Birthday and More
In Surat, Gujarat, Union Minister and BJP Gujarat president CR Paatil shared exciting plans on Tuesday for a series of service initiatives across India. These Sewa programs kick off to honor key dates in September, starting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.
Speaking to , Paatil celebrated Surat’s big win as India’s cleanest city for the first time. "We’re thrilled about this achievement," he said. To mark the occasion, the city will honor 6,000 sanitation workers on PM Modi’s birthday. Their families are invited too, and Paatil thanked Modi for his guidance in making Surat shine.
The nationwide Sewa Pakhwada runs from September 17 to October 2, covering Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on October 2 and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s on September 25. BJP workers in Gujarat and across the country will organize various welfare events during this period. "We’ll roll out programs at different spots to spread service and positivity," Paatil added.
In a related move, Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel launched a blood donation camp in Gandhinagar on Tuesday, ahead of PM Modi’s 75th birthday. This is part of BJP’s two-week Sewa drive, which includes nationwide blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ tree-planting initiative, and exhibitions showcasing Modi’s key achievements.
Patel revealed that over 1.27 lakh state government employees have signed up to donate blood. "Tomorrow is PM Modi’s birthday, and this camp is our way to celebrate it. State employees are stepping up big time for this special campaign," he said.
These initiatives highlight BJP’s focus on community service, cleanliness, and health, tying into national events like PM Modi birthday celebrations and Gandhi Jayanti.
