Today in Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched a big boost for Rajasthan’s public transport. He flagged off 160 brand-new Blue Line Express buses of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC). These modern buses will make traveling safer, easier, and more comfortable for many residents across the state.
The launch took place at Amar Jawan Jyoti in Jaipur, where the Chief Minister also introduced a new luxury bus service from Jaipur to Kathgodam in Uttarakhand. This new route aims to help travelers reach their destinations in style and comfort.
Chief Minister Sharma highlighted that adding these new buses shows Rajasthan’s progress in improving transportation. “Expanding safe and organized transport services is our priority,” he said. “These new buses will help reduce traffic congestion and give people more reliable travel options.”
He also mentioned that the Jaipur-Kathgodam bus service will be especially helpful for devotees visiting Baba Neem Karauli Dham in Kainchidham. This new route is expected to boost religious tourism, making it easier for pilgrims to visit important temples and sacred sites.
Since last year, the government has been running special buses to major pilgrimage spots such as Ayodhya, Govardhan, Salasar Balaji, Ramdevra, Shrinathji, and Kaila Devi. These services bring convenience to thousands of devotees.
Before launching the buses, Chief Minister Sharma performed a ceremonial prayer for the safety and success of the fleet. He also inspected the facilities of the new buses.
The 160 Blue Line Express buses are now available at 12 different depots across Rajasthan, including locations like Jaipur, Ajmer, Dausa, Hindaun, Bhilwara, and others. The move aligns with the government’s budget plans to strengthen public transport, making travel more affordable, safe, and modern for everyone.
Many other senior officials attended the event, including Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, MLA Gopal Sharma, RSRTC Chairperson Shubhra Singh, Transport Secretary Shuchi Tyagi, and RSRTC Managing Director Purushottam Sharma.
This initiative marks a significant step toward making Rajasthan’s public transport better and more accessible for all citizens.
