NEST-02 building and customs facilitation centre to boost India’s export growth: Goyal

Mumbai, Dec 11 (LatestNewsX) – India’s export ecosystem received a significant lift on Thursday when the new New Enterprises & Service Tower (NEST‑02) was opened in the SEEPZ SEZ, an industrial zone in the country’s financial capital.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal said the building, together with the recently inaugurated Customs Trade Facilitation Centre, represents a key milestone in boosting India’s export growth story.
“Today in Mumbai, I addressed the inauguration of SEEPZ SEZ’s New Enterprises & Service Tower (NEST‑02),” Goyal posted on X.
During the ceremony he explained that the modern facilities at SEEPZ will make it far easier for exporters to do business. He added that the new infrastructure is designed to advance the Government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision by providing smoother operations, quicker clearances and a more efficient trade environment.
“Spoke about how this new building, along with the Customs Trade Facilitation Centre, marks another step forward in India’s export growth story, with modern infrastructure that will enhance ease of doing business & support the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision,” Goyal elaborated.
He urged companies and stakeholders to seize the opportunities presented by this upgraded infrastructure. According to the minister, India’s export momentum is still rising, and such developments will help drive economic growth as the country steadily works toward becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Goyal expressed confidence that initiatives like NEST‑02 will not only improve the performance of existing exporters but also attract new enterprises to join India’s growing global trade network.
“Encouraged stakeholders to leverage new and emerging opportunities and contribute to India’s growing export momentum, further powering our economic growth & the journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047,” he said.
The minister also highlighted the savings achieved through reduced electricity tariffs, noting that “Reduced electricity tariffs have saved us nearly Rs 11–12 crore, and now we must set a new benchmark of zero delays.” He criticized any late work, calling for strict penalties against contractors and architects responsible for delays and urging people to confront corruption head‑on in order to ensure a transparent, corruption‑free system.
