Princess Sofia of Sweden met several times with Jeffery Epstein — who invited her to his now- infamous private island
Princess Sofia of Sweden, once a lingerie model and reality‑TV personality, crossed paths with the late Jeffrey Epstein on multiple occasions, according to emails that surfaced from a Swedish news outlet. The 41‑year‑old, who later married Prince Carl Philip in 2015, first met the disgraced financier through a mentor named Barbro Ehnbom in 2005, as the court documents show.
Ehnbom, a Swedish businesswoman, wrote in December 2005, “This is Sofia, an aspiring actress who just arrived in New York. She’s the girl I told you about before I left, who I thought you might like to meet.” She added, “Maybe we can visit before you go on holiday?” and attached a photo of the then‑model, Sofia Balthazar‑Winslow.
Epstein replied that he was in the Caribbean and offered to fly her to Little Saint James, inviting her to a private island where he would later face accusations of sex trafficking minors.
The royal family confirmed that Princess Sofia declined the invitation, but they also noted that she met Epstein a few extra times thereafter. According to the Swedish Royal Court, the princess has had no contact with him for twenty years. They did not say where or why the meetings took place; Epstein was eventually convicted of procuring a child for prostitution some three years after their initial encounter.
Before moving to New York, the princess appeared on the reality series “Paradise Hotel” in 2005. In 2004 she posed topless with a boa constructor for a men’s magazine and began blogging about lavish parties with celebrities. Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting federal charges of sex trafficking.
