Dogwalker violently sexually assaulted by homeless suspect in LA

A woman named Terra was walking her small dog near the Los Angeles Convention Center when a man in a black hoodie suddenly lunged at her. The confrontation was captured on the building’s security camera and shows the attacker pinning Terra against a glass door and straddling her leg.

Terra told reporters that the man grabbed the back of her neck and her crotch, forcing her to scream for help. She said the attacker didn’t speak but made only noises. In the footage, timestamped 6:23 a.m. on November 8, Terra manages a brief escape, but the assailant quickly pulled her to the ground before they both slipped out of the camera’s view. Her dog can still be seen in the frame.

A nearby male bystander heard Terra’s cries and rushed in, picking up the attacker. “He was on top of the guy and just hitting him in the head over and over,” Terra recounted. After the struggle, the attacker fled into the downtown streets.

By the time police arrived, the homeless man was already gone. The case is now under investigation as sexual battery, and detectives believe the suspect is homeless. Authorities are still looking for the attacker and ask anyone with information to call 1‑877‑527‑3247.

Since the incident, Terra has added Mace and a stun gun to her bag and says she’s constantly looking over her shoulder. “It’s scary to think he’s still out there,” she said. “I hope it never happens to anyone.”
