Arsenal’s forward Bukayo Saka says the club must stay in the zone and ignore outside chatter as the Gunners sit four points clear at the top of the Premier League after 11 games.
The team has earned 26 points from eight wins and two draws. Last week, they salvaged a 2‑2 draw at Sunderland, while Manchester City took the lead over Liverpool with a 3‑0 win, narrowing the gap.
“We have to win every game, that’s the mentality we go into the match and see where that takes us,” Saka told talkSPORT on Thursday. “We can’t get carried away by what people are saying. Opinions about us change like the weather. The key is our dressing room, our foundation, and the belief we have in ourselves.”
Arsenal’s defense has been tight, conceding only five league goals so far. Still, Saka urges the players to stay focused and avoid complacency.
Under manager Mikel Arteta, the Gunners finished as runners‑up in the last three seasons, missing the title in 2022‑23 and 2023‑24. They are now chasing a Premier League crown, the first in 20 years.
Arsenal heads back into action after the international break, set to face Tottenham Hotspur at home on November 23. Saka is also preparing for England’s World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, as the national team has already secured a spot in next year’s tournament in North America following six straight wins in their group.
